While acting in a giant Hollywood superhero movie might seem like a dream to comic book fans and aspiring actors alike, for some stars, the dream is actually more of a nightmare. Whether it’s costume conundrums, fights with the director, a performance left on the cutting room floor, a bad time at the box office, or whatever the reason, there are a handful of actors who have gone on record to express their displeasure at having been a part of these DC movies. From George Clooney and his plastic nipples in Batman & Robin, which has actually been called one of the worst movies ever made, to Tommy Lee Jones who hated Jim Carrey so much that it made Batman Forever a terrible experience. Sean Connery actually blames his time on League of Extraordinary Gentlemen for why he quit acting, Matthew Goode couldn't handle how much the fans seemed to hate him in The Watchman before it even came out, and Marion Cotillard didn’t like that she was billed as only a love interest for all of The Dark Knight Rises. Jared Leto is just as confused as we are by his Joker in Suicide Squad (please don’t open any mail from him, ever), Josh Brolin thought Jonah Hex could have been much better, Halle Berry accepted her Razzie Award for Worst Actress for Catwoman, Ryan Reynolds hated Green Lantern so much he actually went back in time and killed himself over it, and finally, Ben Affleck has become a sad, sad Affleck ever since taking on the role of Batman.
