For a very, very long time, Hollywood had been sorely lacking in diversity when it came to comic book movies - that is, until Black Panther came along earlier this year.

The success of Marvel Studios' incredible Wakanda-based offering - and we're speaking in terms of both its critical and commercial success - has been absolutely unprecedented since its release in February of 2018 (and it's made fans wonder just why there hasn't been a movie like it before - seriously, what the heck was up with that?!).

It really was an absolutely superb movie and, hopefully, it's paved the way for more superhero offerings with black titular characters and diverse casts in the future.
In this video, we'll take you through ten black superheroes that we believe could be even more successful than Black Panther at the box office, if indeed they were given their own solo movies. The black superheroes in question are; Marvel's Riri Williams AKA Ironheart, the John Stewart version of Green Lantern from DC, Black Panther's brilliant sister Shuri from Marvel, the Miles Morales version of Spider-Man from Marvel, DC's Black Lightning, the Jaime Reyes version of Blue Beetle from DC, Marvel's Rage, DC's Vixen, the Simon Baz version of Green Lantern from DC, and Blue Marvel from... well... from Marvel.
