When Disney puts their own spin on a classic fairy tale, we love to see their view, the unique characters, and the songs. When Disney decides to turn a real-life story or setting and make it into a children’s musical, this is when things become a little muddled. We kick things off with Pocahontas. The girl was not a full-grown woman, but rather an 11 year old when the settlers of Jamestown arrived. So, yeah, there was no romantic involvement with John Smith there. They knew each other in real life, but it was a friends-only situation. John Smith wasn’t creepin’ on young girls. Her so-called Journey to the New World in the sequel? Well, in real life she was taken and forced into marriage with John Rolfe. The Frozen franchise takes place in the Scandinavia region, which includes countries like Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. While the movies were right with their costumes, accents, and architecture for the time period and region, Frozen 2 pushed the limits on their fictional representation. The main changes came with the folklore and legend of the Nokk. Join us as we dive deep into the world of Disney and the way they mess with fiction.

Which Disney princess was only 11 in real life? How has Disney messed up the same historical facts in multiple movies?! And what happened in Frozen 2 that was the far truth from real-life mythology and stories?! Well, we have the TRUTH as we pull back the truth on some of these Disney lies their movies have portrayed over the years.
