Welcome back, ScreenRanters! From the WWE, to AEW, to NJPW, to AAA, and so on, there are so many wrestling promotions around today. Well, for those wanting a more cinematic experience with their grapplers, we have the video for you today. We’re going to look at the best wrestling films, TV shows, and documentaries that every fan should see. Even those that aren’t wrestling fans, there are bound to be productions that grab your interest like a cobra clutch. We’ll even take a brief look at a comic book for fun-zies!
Now for the spoiler paragraph. If you like surprises, you should stop reading and watch the video multiple times. We’ll kick off with the 2019 film, Fighting With My Family! Especially with how Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was involved. We’ll then look at the controversial state of Netflix’s Glow series and its sudden cancellation. There’s the documentary that left us peek behind the gorilla position with Beyond The Mat. There’s the heart-warming tale in The Peanut Butter Falcon and the desire to become a pro wrestler. We’ll look at a couple of animated products such as The Haunted World of El Superbeasto. We have 2000’s Ready To Rumble and the effect that film had on the wrestling industry. As well as the documentary that David Arquette released this year detailing that event and his grappling comeback. We have the Foxcatcher film that examines the realm of amateur wrestling. There’s the comedy Mexican wrestling inspired film, Nacho Libre with Jack Black. Finally, we’ll look at one of the greatest wrestling films -- nay -- one of the greatest sports films of all time, The Wrestler.
