With the DCEU now coming to a close and James Gunn’s new universe being brought in, we can now look back at the mixed bag that is the DCEU and what could have been - in particular the number of characters that could have been. Whether that be Green Lantern in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, a myriad of cameos in the multiverse epic The Flash, connections to the Arrowverse, or an awesome easter egg in Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel, there were a lot of characters to hit the cutting room floor and the reasons given to us by Warner Bros are not satisfactory.
