Welcome back, ScreenRanters! Sometimes, in the world of the silver screen, directors might use methods to entice certain reactions from actors. Many of which are questionable at best. While they do often manage to get the reaction they were after, they might be forever despised by the thespian on the receiving end. Today, we’re going to take a gander at moments when an actor was genuinely in tears or experiencing real emotions on screen. As well as in the aftermath from what happened on-set. We’ll mostly look at film, but we have one from television as well. Yep, we spoil you.

Now for the spoiler paragraph. If you don’t want to know, go and watch the video and make your friends do so as well. We have one entry that looks at 1979’s Alien. Especially with one famous scene. We’ll look at Star Wars: The Force Awakens and what happened to Daisy Ridley. We have another sore example from Lord of The Rings: The Two Towers. Another from The Hobbit and a distraught Sir Ian McKellen. We’ll look at the final moments in Steve Carell’s time in The Office. Another moment is from Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer when Fox owned the rights. Speaking of Marvel, there’s one scene from X-Men: Dark Phoenix that got Sophie Turner riled up. We have one harrowing scene from Kramer vs Kramer with Meryl Streep. Another from Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds. On top of that, we have Drew Barrymore on the set of E.T. There’s another on the set of The Shining with Shelley Duvall. Plus, we have a number of surprises to keep you interested.
