By now we all know Sam Wilson, AKA, The Falcon, pretty well. A close and crucial friend to Captain America, a PTSD counsellor and the man behind the famous “on your left line”, since joining the MCU, Falcon has been a main staple in the franchise. Despite being somewhat sidelined as a secondary character, Wilson will get his chance to step out of the Captain America shadow and move into the spotlight in the upcoming Disney+ show ‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’. But outside of his role as Falcon, Anthony Mackie has had a long and versatile career with over 70 acting credits to his name starring in the likes of ‘The Hurt Locker’, ‘Altered Carbon’ and ‘8 Mile’. His career has been highly distinguished and he has become a renowned actor in his own right. But Mackie himself is just as interesting (if not, more so) than the characters he plays.
