For some reason, kids are drawn to gross-out humor. Characters passing gas? Check. Slimy monsters? Check. Someone eating something strange? You know it. For Pixar’s debut with Toy Story, we got to see the world of toys come to life in some pretty impressive CG. So how would Disney follow this up? With maggots. The plastic spud is forced to spend the night in the sandbox and we hear about his experience the next day. After draining the extra sand from his body, Mr. Potato Heads talks about how isolating it was with the dark and a couple of Lincoln Logs just as Hamm chimes in to tell him they probably weren’t Lincoln Logs. We’ve all seen bug-eating scenes before -- Timon and Pumbaa in the Lion King come to mind, but the 2000 film “The Emperor’s New Groove” takes things to a whole other level. During a restaurant scene, Pacha orders the Pill Bug, which gets served by the waitress as a “hot crispy pill bug”. If you thought slipping on a pair of bowling alley rental shoes was dirty, maybe you should give Cinderella a second look. As the Prince made his tour through the kingdom, he not only had various women try on the glass slipper -- but they all did it barefoot. You know Lysol spray wasn’t a thing back in the day, meaning these girls exposed their dirty and sweaty feet to the glass slipper over and over again.

So it’s only natural for Disney to feature a collection of these gross scenes -- and some scenes that probably weren’t even meant to be gross in the first place. So if you’re a germaphobe -- be on the lookout because we are deep diving into Disney’s World of Grossness right...about...now!
