Sometimes special effects make up a lot more of a movie than we realize! Subscribe to our channel: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Screenrant

We have a come a long way with special effects. It seems like just yesterday that X-Men came out and now, our standards are much higher. There is truly no limit to what we can create on a computer and it has changed the game entirely. Over the past couple of years, we have been spoiled rotten with movies like Tron, Deadpool, and what feels like one thousand Avengers movies that are breaking new cinematic ground. The thing is, even the best of the best look totally different before special effects teams come in and work their magic. Today, we will be looking at twenty five scenes that look totally different after special effects. We’ll be going back as far as 1994 and seeing how Forrest Gump used what is called “digital erasing” in the scene where he shakes JFK’s hand. In addition, we’ll be studying the many ways to use green screen, covering everything from The Hunger Games using the 900 feet of screens in the scene where Katnis tries to take down the capital, to Daenerys Targaryen having to pet a green screen dragon. We have dug deep to uncover the secrets behind slow mo and will show you what The Matrix “bullet backbend” scene looked like before it came to be the iconic shot we know so well. Join us as we peek behind the curtain and take a look at what it takes to make our favourite movies.
