25 Small Details You Missed In The Harry Potter Franchise

Hey gang, it’s time once again for a Harry Potter list, and this time it’s all about those little details you might have missed in the movies. From crazy credits to heartbreaking character moments, we’ve got ‘em all — but we’re only telling you like twenty five, ‘cause like… I dunno, it’s a lucky number I guess. Anyway, this list includes fun facts from every film in the franchise: Sorcerer’s Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire, Order of the Phoenix, Half-Blood Prince, and Deathly Hallows Parts 1 and 2. We won’t be delving into the Fantastic Beasts franchise, mostly because our writer watched them both once and had more than enough — and also, this is HARRY POTTER, so we want to talk about the OG!

Here’s a fun one: If you’ve watched a movie with animals in it made within the last few decades, you’ll be used to seeing “No animals were harmed in the making of this film”. The team who put together Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire’s credits had a little fun with this, saying “No dragons were harmed in the making of this movie — a none-to-subtle reference to the highly memorable dragon-based action Harry has to contend with as part of the Tri-Wizard Tournament.

And hey, you’re reading the description thing, so here’s a bonus sad fact for your dedication: In Deathly Hallows Part 2, when Harry surprises everyone by being alive, you see George turn and start to say something starting with “F” before the scene cuts. It’s fairly safe to assume he was turning to his twin to share in the excitement of their friend (and hope) being alive, but Fred wasn’t there. Cuz he was dead. Which uh… yeah, really adds a thin veil of dour to the scene. Have a nice day!
