Welcome back, ScreenRanters! With Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 3’s release being a long time in the future, we thought we’d look back at the original 2014 introduction of the team in the MCU. We’ve gone through the Marvel film with a fine toothcomb and made a list. Filled with all the best Easter Eggs, references, trivia, and hidden details that may have slipped you by. All of them in one place for your viewing pleasure! Some of these references point at the comics, other MCU films, as well as the Marvel franchise’s future.
Now, for the part where we ramble about spoilers in the video. If you don’t want to know, dive on into the video immediately. So, we have a nod that points to Rocket’s origins. We have another origin citation, this time Gamora’s, that was retconned for Infinity War by Thanos. We look at James Gunn’s cameo. We also see the secret role his brother, Sean, played. We take a look at the cameo king, Stan Lee and the secret message in his appearance. We have a segment that compares a unique Groot scene to 1931’s Frankenstein film. We have many Easter Eggs in the museum of The Collector. We also have an actor that actually first appeared in a previous Marvel film. Hint - it involves Captain America. We also have Thor: Ragnarök’s connection to the Guardians. With Chris Pratt’s Peter Quill, AKA Starlord, dancing at the start, the song used has a Marvel connection to F Is For Family. Find out what it is! We also have the secret role of Nathan Fillion. For all this and more, go and watch the video today!
