It’s easy to not notice subtle things in The Invisible Man if you’re not looking carefully, but don’t worry because we will fill you in on some of the things you missed the first time around. Elisabeth Moss was not only the star of the film, but she played an extremely important role behind the scenes. Oliver Jackson-Cohen’s character Adrian Griffin has a name which pays tribute to a long legacy of characters in this famous franchise. Cecilia Kass is a clever protagonist who’s able to see through her ex’s lies even though her name might imply otherwise. Leigh Whannell wrote and directed the film, and he’s also been involved with some other horror movies which earned Easter eggs in this one. If any of the scenes reminded you of Paranormal Activity or The Conjuring franchise, those weren’t mere coincidences! There were tons of callbacks to the original story as well as some more obscure films you might not have picked up on.
