If you haven’t had a chance to catch up with season 2 of “The Umbrella Academy” yet, you’ll want to do so before reading or watching any further because there will be some serious spoilers. Just like the first part of the series, this one is filled to the brim with exciting Easter eggs and nods to the comic book you might have missed the first time around. Right from the get-go, the movie marques our heroes materialize near seem to be showing some particularly poignant film based on each character. Jack Ruby is a real historical figure, and yes, he did have a sweet little dachshund named Sheba. The 743 incident ended up being a major plot point later on but it was foreshadowed far earlier than you may have realized. We’ll also talk about some of the strange bird sightings through the course of the show and it’s possible that Cha Cha isn’t as far away as she seemed. Reginald Hargreeves managed to tap into many actual historical events, and Number Five’s rant about a sea serpent could have been a nod to the source material.
