Hollywood is full to the brim with amazing actors, prestigious Oscar winners whose names reside in their rightful place on the Walk of Fame. But even the best actors make bad choices every now and again, and one bad performance can have devastating effects on someone’s career! Most actors recover from a miscast role or a bold and unusual choice, but some are never quite the same. We’re taking a look at some underwhelming, confusing, or downright frightening performances from some A-list Hollywood stars. And they are everywhere! From Ryan Reynolds’ notorious flop with Green Lantern, to a young Dev Patel who wasn’t quite ready for The Last Airbender. Natalie Portman is a talented actress who tried to make it work in the Star Wars prequels, as did Tommy Lee Jones when he stepped out of the box in Batman Forever. Kevin Costner has never lived down his “accent” in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Julia Roberts made for a less-than-terrifying villain in Mirror Mirror, and Al Pacino couldn’t “hoo-aah” himself out of Scent of A Woman. There was Russell Crowe who couldn’t really sing in Les Miserables, Keanu Reeves whose accent sounded more Californian than British in Bram Stoker’s Dracula, and even the great Robert DeNiro, who was a bit out of place in the Rocky and Bullwinkle movie. There are so many more performances on this list that strayed off into dangerous territory, so check out the video below for all of the awesomely awkward details!
