How do you think the new Wonder Woman movie will change teh DCU? Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/ho3Hg6

We now know the title and premise of the Wonder Woman sequel, which will be released in 2019.

It will be called "Wonder Woman 1984" and, rather excitingly, it will see Gal Gadot's powerful titular heroine coming into conflict with the Soviet Union during the Cold War in the 1980s, as well as the villainous Cheetah, who will be played by the wonderful Kristen Wiig.

A lot of theories have been conceived about the movie by DCEU fans - and this video will run you through just some of them.

The theories in question are as follows; that Steve Trevor's return could be due to a number of things (e.g. it could be his great grandson with the same name and appearance, or he could merely be a hallucination), that the title is a reference to George Orwell's novel "1984", that Wonder Woman will have a female love interest in the movie, that Cyborg's movie will be teased in the mid or post-credits scene, that the Green Lantern Corps will be further teased in the movie, that Darkseid will be somehow referenced in the movie, that Chief from the first Wonder Woman movie will appear, that it will take advantage of its setting and make a lot of humorous 80s references, that Steppenwolf and Mother Boxes will be referenced, and that it will feature multiple villains.

We hope you enjoy the video! Please leave a comment letting us know what you thought about it. And don't forget to subscribe to Screen Rant's YouTube channel, so you never miss our great new video uploads in the future.
