After over 13 years, the sequel to Avatar, Avatar the Way of Water, is finally out in the wild and ready for us to consume with our eyeballs! So, you know what that means! It’s time for us here at Screen Rant to dig into this beast and see what kind of details you might have missed in this landmark motion picture! Let’s start this video off with a detail that actually related to a detail you might have missed in the original Avatar. In the first film, Sigourney Weaver’s Dr. Grace Augustine could be seen wearing a traditional Na’vi necklace. This necklace actually belonged to Sylwanin, Neytiri’s sister who passed away at some point before the beginning of the film.

It would seem then that she subconsciously passed on her penchant for wearing jewelry from deceased loved ones, as Kiri can be seen wearing a necklace that formerly belonged to her human mother.

It's one of many ways that the filmmakers visually tied Kiri and Grace together. That’s just one of many smaller details you might not have caught! Let’s go through a few more, shall we?
