With the recent release of Pixar’s ‘Soul’ on Disney Plus, it was seeming that fans of the animation company would have to wait awhile to get their hands on the upcoming productions Luca and Lightyear, well it turns out as a treat for the studio turning 35 years old, they dropped a whole assortment of bit sized shorts to hold fans over.
The shorts focus on many of the studio's famous properties. Included are slices of life moments from the worlds of Cars, Coco, The Incredibles, Toy Story, and Finding Nemo. You can find out what happens when Lightning McQueen tries to parallel park, how calm the streets of New York could be in the world of Soul, how Mr. Fantastic has to fight for the right to an individual cookie in the comfort of his own home, what Ducky and Bunny did in their spare time around the carnival, and even how Dory spends her time in the vastness of the deep blue sea. The worlds that Pixar animates are so complex and wonderful, that while brief, just one more moment in The Land Of The Dead or Radiator Springs is appreciated.
The project was completed at a speed that would make the likes of Dash and Lightning McQueen blush, with an innovative way of collaborating from home that Syndrome wouldn’t have even been able to think up. So join us as we find out the ways in which this popcorn sized project was created and the implications it has to future Pixar Projects on the platform and on the big screen.
