Shadow & Bone is taking the world (and in particular Netflix) by storm right now, and the epic fantasy series based on the books by Leigh Bardugo is proving to be one of the most popular shows on the streaming platform right now. From stunning visuals, interesting lore and mythos, to Ben Barnes, the show has it all and it is clear to see why it is so darn popular! Unsurprisingly there are quite a few key details behind the scenes that led it to being such a monumental success. For starters, the cast are very, very close with another and are as thick as thieves, while the production itself was meticulously planned out and constantly thought about with the books in mind. While the show does differ from the books, Bardugo’s fingerprints can be felt throughout. But how exactly did they bring the Grishaverse to life?
In this video, we are going to take a look at some stunning behind the scenes stories and moments to understand just how the show works. From the production constantly using the books as a reference, creating a brand new language, having the cast perform their own stunts (which even caused an injury), actors stealing things from set, funny bloopers and gaffs to even the production team having to continuously convince one of their stars to join. This is behind the scenes of Shadow & Bone!
