So I’m getting over being sick, but I’m not about to let that stop me from talking about Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and that ending! So ok, there is a lot to talk about with this movie. And I mean, a lot. Most of which I’ll get to shortly, but I wanna start off with the very end, that leads us directly into the mid-credits scene.
As the movie comes to a close, we see Shuri, apparently taking time away from being both the protector of Wakanda and its sovereign leader, visiting Nakia in Haiti. As she arrives, she says that she wants to “do it by herself” before turning and walking off towards the ocean, setting off to perform the ritual that her mother had tried to get her to do earlier on in the film.
This leads into an end credits scene, that I’m not gonna spoil here (obviously). Just know that it wound up being perhaps one of the best tributes to the late Chadwick Boseman in the entire film. Which is saying something, as the entire movie centered around the tragic passed of T’Challa in a similar fashion to the actor that portrayed him.
Giving us perhaps one of the most heartfelt, and satisfying ways of honoring, and more importantly, saying goodbye, to a talent taken from us far too soon.
But there is more to it than that. So let's get this Ending Explained under way, and go ahead and dive right into it!
