In today’s video, we will be looking at the long-awaited Black Widow solo movie. The prequel will be resurrecting Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), following her final appearance in last year’s Avengers: Endgame, catching up with her shortly after the events of Captain America: Civil War. On the run and unsure of where to turn, Natasha reunites with some old allies, including Yelena (Florence Pugh).
But while we will be seeing the late Black Widow again, the same may not be true for Robert Downey Junior’s Tony Stark. Rumors were swirling that we may see an Iron Man cameo in the film, but new information suggests that may not be the case after all. We will be looking at the timeline of rumors and asking how likely it is that the Black Widow solo movie will feature an appearance by Robert Downey Junior. Fans were expecting that the new Cate Shortland-directed Marvel production, which Disney has delayed until 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic, could include a cameo, whether in the form of new footage or repurposed deleted scenes from older movies, but the suggestion now is that Black Widow will be a fully Tony Stark-free zone.
Is this a positive development? Is there unfinished business between Natasha Romanoff and Tony Stark that needs to be addressed in the movie? Does the Black Widow movie need Tony Stark at all? Or should we leave Iron Man’s journey in Avengers: Endgame where it finished?
