Black Widow Will Be More Important In Avengers: Endgame Than Everyone Thinks

Avengers: Endgame is shaping up to be the movie event of the decade. Our heroes and the universe lost badly in Infinity War and now the broken and uninspired survivors have to find a way to bring back those they lost and ensure Thanos doesn’t do it again. No small feat. The Avengers may have a smaller roster this time around but they’re still pretty powerful, and having Thor and Captain Marvel fighting side by side definitely tips the scales in their favor. So in a world where those two exist, where does Black Widow fit into it all, who is an expert spy and hand-to-hand combatant but lacking any real superpowers. There are a few theories to point out that Natasha Romanoff will play a critical role in the movie. For one, Scarlett Johansson stated that Black Widow is driven in a different way in this movie and is driven more by anger, so she wants to get as involved as possible. Another one is that the Avengers are heavily rumored to be time travelling in this movie thanks to the Quantum Realm. Natasha’s expertise lies in espionage and gathering intelligence, so venturing into uncharted territory is definitely something she’d prevail at. Most importantly though, Natasha is likely the one who tracked down Nick Fury’s pager. She would likely have gone looking for her friend and found the retro device on the ground, which in turn brought Captain Marvel to the fight-a much-needed ally. She may also be the one to bring Scott Lang to the Avengers HQ by means of a transmitter. Without Natasha, not only would the Avengers be lost but they wouldn’t have gained two powerful and needed allies.
