Bumblebee is bringing the Transformers franchise in a whole new direction, basing a lot of elements of the original animated series into the movie. Transformers: The Movie featured a lot of great plot elements, but one thing that may not have aged so well is the theme song used in the movie. The song “The Touch”was able to get inserted into the 1980’s throwback in one of the more pivotal scenes. Cliffjumper dies in the Bumblebee movie, but his death may feel pretty familiar to some viewers who are also good listeners. Enjoy some Transformers competition? General Whalen makes decisions for the Sector 7, but his name was not just chosen randomly -- it has some deep roots to the Transformers franchise.
