Cobra Kai has taken the already incredible antics of the kid from Jersey who was taught karate by a kindly old building super and brought it to even crazier heights. After the 80s most over the top villain, Terry Silver, returned to the Valley to pickup where he left off by menacing teenagers in an effort to build a karate franchise empire the stakes for Cobra Kai, Miyagi-do, and Eagle Fang have only gotten higher. It may have just started with some unresolved issues between the franchise’s first rivals Daniel-san and Johnny Lawrence but once you open the Cobra Kai Pandora’s box, there’s no putting things back to normal. Not when there’s someone who delights so much in being bad like Terry Silver around. In a lot of ways, Terry represents the absolute worse case scenario for the fragile pride and egos of the original cast members. When Kreese reached out to him at the beginning of season 4 he was content being the supportive partner living the wine sipping NPR world. That is until his pride is wounded by people being dismissive of his karate background. When Kreese continues to remind Silver of Silver’s debt to Kreese he resents being ‘put in his place’ and turns on his own partner. This has given him free reign to shape Cobra Kai in his own vision, which involves global domination of the retail karate world. Where has the end of season 5 left that quest and what will become of our favorite karate enthusiasts in the future? Well, let’s take a look. Where do you want to see Cobra Kai go in future episodes or even a film series? Let us know in the comments and while you’re there be sure to like and subscribe.
