Dark Futurama Theories We Hope Aren't True

When Matt Groening was tasked with creating a followup series to his outrageously popular The Simpsons, he took his ideas into space. Futurama, which centered on out of time pizza boy Philip J. Fry and the crew of the Planet Express, wasn’t an instant hit, but in the years since its cancellation (and revival and second cancellation), it’s developed a cult following.

Plenty of fans have taken to analyzing the show’s every detail, looking for deeper meaning. And while some of these theories are totally out there, they do actually make sense the more you look into them. Here are a few of the dark Futurama theories we hope aren't true.
