The Marvel Cinematic Universe has a lot of magic users ranging from Thor, Loki, Odin and Frigga to other characters like Wenwu, Iron Fist, The Ancient One, Agatha Harkness and Wanda Maximoff. These characters can do complex things like casting spells, manipulating reality or summoning illusions. They can also simply use items endowed with magical abilities like hammers that can control storms or rings that can bring entire armies to their knees in seconds. Then there’s the guy who can cast complex spells AND use a series of magical items to greater skill than anyone else in the universe. We’ve seen Benedict Cumberbatch’s Sorcerer Supreme manipulate time, clone himself and change the laws of reality. We’ve also seen him use artifacts like the Time Stone, his cloak of levitation or the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak to bring incredibly powerful foes down. This barely touches all of the powers he has in the comics. These are super weird powers like possessing the bodies of others, perceiving everything in the universe, walking through the dreams of others, telepathy, speaking in symbols, destroying vampires and longevity bordering on immortality. Perhaps the weirdest to imagine right now is his really impressive martial arts skill. He is comparable to other MCU heroes like Shang-Chi or Daredevil. That’s hard to imagine considering how easily he gets punched around in his own movie. He probably fights about as well as the actor who plays him.
