Dune: Ending And Part 2 Setup Explained

Fans of Frank Herbet’s epic sci-fi novels have long been calling for a faithful live action adaptation of the classic world of Dune, and cinematic maestro, Denis Villeneuve fully delivered. The 2021 Dune (or Dune: Part One we should say) was not only a faithful adaptation but it was visually astounding and all around visual spectacle, as well having some powerhouse performances from its stacked cast. Overall the movie did not disappoint, and for the most part, followed the story in the novel to a tee, with every major plot point from the first half of the book being struck off in this movie. But, there is still a lot of story to go and there are a lot of plot threads and storylines set in Part One that will be the main focus of a sequel. That is of course if Warner Bros actually greenlight Part Two already!

In this video we will go over the movie’s ending, what it all means, where the saga can go next and how it set up a truly exciting sequel (without giving much away in terms of spoilers). From premonitions and visions of things yet to come, conflict set about between rival characters, the involvement of the local Fremen moving forward (and of course the ravenous sandworms native to the planet of Arrakis), what fate has in store for the remaining characters (and the potential introduction of a character yet to come) and of course what spice filled antics might we see in the future. This is Dune’s ending explained as well as what we can expect to see in Part Two!
