Ethan Hawke Explains His Inspiration For the Grim Opening Ritual of "Moon Knight"

#Marvel's #MoonKnight opens with cult leader #ArthurHarrow, played by #EthanHawke, listening to #BobDylan while ritualistically putting shards of glass in his own sandals. The scene was Hawke's own creation, and the actor admits that his experience playing Reverend Toller in Paul Schrader's #FirstReformed (2017) inspired the scene. "Moon Knight" star #OscarIsaac also admits that Schrader's influence was felt on the set, having himself just starred in the filmmaker's intense drama 'The Card Counter' (2021).
