Everyone knows 007. People who’ve never seen a Bond movie know 007. People living in the furthest unexplored corners of the globe, who have never even seen a TV screen, know 007. One of the most iconic blockbuster franchises of all time, he’s been shooting and exploding and kissing and suaving his way across our screens since 1962.

And in April 2020, he’s back for … oh no, hold on. In November 2020, he’s back for … no, wait … um. April 2021? No … OK. In October 2021, James Bond may (potentially, barring complications) return in No Time To Die, directed by Cary Fukunaga and co-starring Rami Malek.

The movie brings the Daniel Craig era to a close, tying up the various plot threads that have been teased out over the course of Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall and Spectre. James Bond has been retired for a few years but will be pulled back into action one last time, with a few surprises in store for the legendary agent.

What can we expect from the movie? Trailers look promising - and from what information has been released, it looks like No Time To Die is going to be breaking the mold a little, turning some of the familiar tropes and traditions upside-down.

In this video, from character details to story direction and even visual iconography, we explore the many ways that No Time To Die is breaking all the rules of James Bond.
