Every Time Morty Out-Ricked Rick
Description
Rick and Morty is back and it’s more Rick and Morty than it’s ever been. Clones, aquatic archenemies and a riff on Captain Planet are just the opening courses for our favorite scifi duo. As the series goes on both Rick and Morty have changed. Well, Morty more than Rick. When the show began, Morty was just Rick’s dumb grandson who tagged along on his missions but was mostly just dead weight. As the series has progressed, Morty has gotten more and more used to an interplanetary mindset with plenty of moral ambiguity. Is it possible that Morty is becoming more like Rick?
In the early seasons, Morty was often depicted as being disgusted by Rick’s immoral actions like taking lives and manipulating galactic events for his benefit. Now we see a Morty who has no problem taking lives and obliterating entire cultures if they come in the way of his date. Not only has he gotten darker but Morty has also gotten more clever as each episode goes by. There have been several occasions where a mystery or a villain will leave Rick spinning only for Morty to come in and save the day. There have also been times where Morty truly does his grandpa proud by stabbing him in the back just like he would. Rick’s greatest villain may end up becoming the evil version of Morty himself.
So will Morty be the Rickest Rick around? Let’s find out! Don’t forget to like, subscribe and share for more from Screen Rant!
