Exclusive: Behind Loki's Visual Effects
Description
The MCU are known for their insane visual effects that often look both photorealistic and out of this world. Even if it’s not one of their big blockbusters the scope of the project is still there and they are never wanting for sheer scale. That of course includes one of their latest shows - Loki. The series was just as visually stunning as any MCU project to go before it, with amazing world builds, digitally created characters, brilliant one shot takes and the destruction of entire planets.
In this video we are going to take a look behind the curtain at all the hard work and special effects that went into making Loki possible. This includes an interview with Digital Domain’s Visual Effects Supervisor, Jean-Luc Dinsdale, who spoke with us about everything he did on the show and how he and his team helped bring the barren landscape of Lamentis-I to life, before bringing the apocalypse down upon it. He gave us some valuable insight into the process of working on a Marvel project and how exactly they pulled off these amazing visuals and just what it’s like working on a Marvel project. We will also take a look at how characters like the Time Keepers, Alioth and Miss Minutes were brought to life, and which sequence Marvel’s Visual Effects Supervisor, Dan Deleeuw, believed to be the hardest to pull off. So get ready to take a step through The Void as we take a look at some truly stunning Visual Effects work.
