The bounty hunter made his first appearance as an animated character in the infamous “Star Wars Holiday Special,” but soon enough audiences would see him come to life in “The Empire Strikes Back.” And while it appeared as though he met his demise in “Return of the Jedi” after falling into the Great Pit of Carkoon, fans would later learn he actually survived the incident.
