Let’s take a look at one of the world’s most iconic characters. James Bond has appeared in a lot of movies since his first portrayal by Sean Connery in 1962. Dr. No kicked off his film legacy but before that Ian Fleming’s novels were loved by many. Over nearly seven decades Bond has changed a lot. Not just with who is playing him but also what technology filmmakers have had available. The 007 franchise is a history of film, fashion, and culture throughout the years and his gadgets, cars, and martini orders have shaped the world around him.
With No Time To Die delayed until next year and it set to be the final Daniel Craig 007 movie, let’s rewind and take a look at the world’s most famous spy as he’s evolved over the decades. Eon productions have put out 25 official James Bond movies, but the character has been in plenty of books, TV shows, and video games like the classic 007 Goldeneye. We’ll take a look at the unofficial Bond movies and some things we never got to see, like Alfred Hitchcock’s interpretation.
Action movies have changed a lot since the sixties, probably more than a lot of genres have had to. With advancements in VFX, CGI, and safety equipment, stunts that seemed impossible before are a walk in the park now and these films are a history of action in cinema. Let me tell you how James Bond changed the world.
