The DCEU has for years treated us to an assortment of it’s characters on a platter of superhero delights but has yet to find the sort of cohesion and structure to really unite their heroes. The studios have abandoned and changed a lot of story arcs due to fan & critical reaction. We can’t help but think that if DC had focused less on superpowers and more on super planning like the MCU, one of the most dynamic characters in DC history could still bring DC it’s Thanos. It lies in the limitless layers of Lex Luthor.

Look, before y’all @ us just know that we all have love for these properties but at this point it's hard to ignore the fact that no one has any idea where the DCEU is going next… and that's kinda exciting. Sure there’s like a few Batmen and a couple Jokers from multiple earths possibly wandering about. Wonder Woman has hung out with Aquaman at some point in time but they’re keeping it chill now, Flash is gonna have a movie, who knows what's up with Cyborg and Man of Steel 2 is…(crickets chirping). That all being said, creating cohesion between some or most parts of this is not going to be easy and many might clearly be wondering how Warner Brothers is gonna make it all work. What if, like Thanos to the Avengers, we introduce a character that could have been a looming threat out there all along? Enter Alexander Joseph Luthor.
