HBO Max is making all of our Christmas dreams come true by FINALLY releasing Wonder Woman: 1984 to all of our homes for the holidays! The sequel follows-up Patty Jenkins’s amazing first Wonder Woman film starring the legendary Gal Gadot! Ever since she first appeared in Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice she has been a scene stealer who hasn’t stolen nearly enough scenes. While the new film was supposed to come out this summer, it was pushed back due to Covid-19. Now though, we’ll get to see the glorious new story about Diana of Themyscira and all of the influences it has taken from over seventy years of comics.

For starters, both of the film’s villains were lifted right out of some of Diana’s best pages. Cheetah will make her long awaited first foray onto the big screen with the one and only Kristen Wiig stepping into her claws. Not only that but The Mandalorian’s Pedro Pascal will take a break from protecting Baby Yoda to bring chaos to the planet Earth as Maxwell Lord. Both villains have a long and epic history with Diana that will be a joy to see in live action.

We also hope that the new film will dig deeper into the complex lore Wonder Woman has established over the decades. Greek gods, evil conspiracies and more need to make it into the film!

Here are 10 things the new Wonder Woman needs to take from the comics!

Chapters:
0:00 Intro
0:26 Cheetah
1:31 Amazon Olympics
2:30 Artemis
3:35 The Greek Gods
4:36 Diana Vs. Lord
5:52 The Invisible Jet

8:00 The Circle
8:56 The Challenge of the Gods
