Mandalorian Theory: R2D2 Saved Grogu In Order 66

The final moments of the second season of the Mandalorian were absolutely bonkers, for a number of different reasons.

Seriously, who could have guessed how mind-numbingly awesome it would have been to see Luke show up and go all Deus Ex Machina on some Dark Troopers. So cool!

And it also gave us a meeting between two of the cutest characters in all of Star Wars. Grogu, the little baby Yoda that captured the hearts and minds of people all across the globe, and R2-D2, the chirpy blue droid.

But here is the thing, if you look at this moment closely, it almost seems like R2 almost recognizes Grogu, which has led to some speculation among fans. And some have even proposed that it was R2 who saved Grogu from the terrible event that was Order 66.
