Look out everyone because there’s a new Iron Man in town! Well, sort of. Nobody can just be the new Iron Man because there’s just no replacing Tony Stark. For over 10 years, he was the face of the MCU and that’s one of the many reasons why his sacrifice at the end of Endgame was so heartbreaking. But that doesn’t mean his legacy can’t live on and someone else can’t pick up the mantle and make their own special suit of armor.
And that’s where Riri Williams aka Ironheart comes into play. The character is relatively new to the world of the comics, but she’s already made a huge impact and fans have been wondering when exactly she’s going to show up on the big screen. Well, ask and we shall receive! During Disney’s massive presentation to their investors, it was announced one of the upcoming MCU shows was Ironheart and it already had a star attached in Dominique Thorne. That’s huge news! But given her close ties to Tony Stark in the comics, just how exactly will the superhero franchise adapt the character now? Could she develop her own mentor/mentee relationship with Spidey? Could she show up in other shows like Armor Wars and hang out with War Machine? And with all this attention, could she become one of the future faces of the MCU?
