After what seems like an eternity of leaks, fakeouts, and fan theories, Spider-Man: No Way Home is here! Tom Holland’s webslinger returns for his third solo film (though all three have featured characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe), this time teaming up with (and against) Doctor Strange to try and stop interdimensional villains who have traveled to his world. Along the way, he tries to manage college admissions, relationships, and the little fact that the whole world knows that Peter Parker is Spider-Man.
The Sony film also features the much-hyped return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, which was long rumored, and confirmed via leaks before the movie was released to theaters. Together, the three Spider-Men help heal Doc Ock, Electro, Sandman, Green Goblin, and the Lizard before sending them home for good. But Tom Holland’s Spider-Man must pay a heavy price for the victory - the whole world will forget for good thing time, but this time they’ll forget that Peter Parker ever existed.
Coupled with the death of his Aunt May, these events leave Peter completely alone as he faces the prospect of a life as Spider-Man, basically full time.
The post-credits scene features the anti-hero, Venom, who leaves behind a piece of the symbiote before going back to his own reality. Who might the symbiote take as a host in the MCU??
And after the credits fans were treated to a trailer for Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, which comes out May 2022.
