Stranger Things Plot Holes Season 4 Could Fix

Stranger things have happened and they all seem to happen to Hawkins, Indiana to a group of middle school Dungeons and Dragons fans. The Duffer Brothers loving tribute to Stephen King and the sci fi movies of the 80s is approaching its fourth season as the rare show that Netflix hasn’t canceled, and it’s a good thing it is, too, because the first three seasons have left some pretty meaty questions on the table. Poor Will and his frantic mother trying to keep him from being dragged into an ever increasing abyss. In that process The Party has grown, the older kids have swapped partners or at long last started to come to terms with building an identity based on dreamy hair. Joyce and Hopper have had a not quite on all the way off not quite on again romance. Mad scientists have unleashed unspeakable horrors in the suburban town more than once with more than one set of mad scientists. It’s been a lot. Some things that have happened make little to no sense, some are products of the genre, and other unanswered questions are part of the process of creating a rich and complex world that the protagonists and the audience will never fully understand. Going into the fourth season we look at some of the questions that we need answers for, some we probably won’t get answers for, and some that are just part of the pastiche of the movies that inspired the show.
