Beautiful and recently widowed Jess is struggling to make a living for herself and her young son. Facing a crumbling economy and a dearth of opportunities, she is pulled into the harsh underworld of sex, drugs and crime. Unexpectedly, her childhood friend Dean comes back from the war to find his hometown is a battlefield. Dean must challenge the local crime lord in a fight for his life and to protect the lives of those he loves.
