Everyone is talking about the latest movie featuring the caped crusader himself. Matt Reeves will debut his new movie that follows a new Dark Knight played by Twilight’s Edward Cullen himself, Robert Pattinson. He will follow in the footsteps of Adam West, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, Kevin Conroy, George Clooney, Christian Bale, Ben Affleck and Will Arnett. This version of the character is likely to be the most brutal yet as he battles his way through the corrupt streets of Gotham City. This time around he will be going up against a reimagined version of Edward Nygma, or Edward Nashton this time around. It’s no surprise that Nygma’s is getting reimagined because he’s been reimagined A LOT. He’s been a carnival worker, a consultant to mob bosses, a former employee of Bruce Wayne’s, a tech genius, a forensics expert for the GCPD and many many more. This time around it looks like he will be a vicious criminal who slays people in order to get his message about Gotham City out. He looks to be moving Bruce Wayne towards solving some deep mystery about the city that may revolve around the Court of the Owls and Colin Farrell’s Penguin. It looks like Reeves is taking inspiration from other movies like Se7en, Zodiac, The Game and Chinatown. So don’t expect a campy Adam West adventure this time around.
