The Bones Scene That Really Went Way Too Far

One of Fox’s most popular series, Bones brought forensic anthropology to the masses and successfully turned a scholarly profession into an entertaining endeavor, with beloved characters, humor, and — for the most part — respectful handling of lifestyles that fall outside of the mainstream. But there’s one episode in particular that truly dropped the ball.

Perhaps it’s because of Bones’ place in time. The show ran for 12 seasons between 2005 and 2017, and the world has changed drastically since the show’s early seasons. In the season 4 episode “The Girl in the Mask,” the squints do something that totally crosses a line. This is the Bones scene that really went way too far.
