In August 2020, the world lost a legend after the great Chadwick Boseman sadly passed away after a four year battle with colon cancer. His loss is felt across the globe with millions of people mourning the loss of an icon, a man who was as much as a hero off screen, as he was on it. One who brought joy to many and brought the life of one of the coolest and most loved superheroes every printed. Black Panther has been a symbol of progress and solidarity in uncertain and difficult times, and that is in no small part down to the blood, sweat and tears Chadwick put into the role. His on screen presence and supreme acting abilities has made a lovable and dynamic character- one with nuance and a well of depth. Sadly though, Chadwick Boseman’s future as King T’Challa has come to a premature end and although it is still too early to process his absence and to ponder a future without him, we are unfortunately left with the question- what is the future of Black Panther?

With a sequel in the works and Marvel apparently seeing Black Panther as key to their future, what Chadwick’s passing means for Black Panther and the MCU as a whole. In this video, we will discuss what the future of Black Panther could be and in what way Marvel should approach the character in a respectful and fitting way to their on-screen star.

What do you think Marvel should do with the character? What is your favourite Black Panther memory? Please let us know in the comments below as we grieve the loss of a legend.
