The Incredibles Fan Theories That Could Be Right
Description
The Incredibles holds a special place in the hearts of many film fans - many of whom were kids when it first came out in 2004, and were then able to share its sequel with their own kids when it finally appeared in 2018! A superhero adventure before superhero adventures were everywhere, before any assembling of any leagues of justice, it was also the first Pixar movie that brought in an outside director - the legendary Brad Bird, of The Iron Giant, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and Tomorrowland - and largely new creative team.
Set in an alternate version of the 1960s where larger than life superheroes exist alongside normal people, the movies tell the story of Mr Incredible, his wife Elastigirl, and their super powered kids Violet, Jack-Jack and Dash. A family superhero movie before the Fantastic Four! A big splashy primary colored superhero blockbuster before Disney+, before the MCU, before even Iron Man. For a generation, the first movie - starring Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Sarah Vowell, Spencer Fox, Jason Lee, Samuel L. Jackson and Elizabeth Peña, was as important as any Batman movie.
And like so many of Pixar films, they lend themselves extremely well to fan theories .In this video, we’re going to be looking at a bunch of our favorite fan theories about The Incredibles and its sequel, theories evolving from Reddit discourse and beyond, and asking how plausible they really are. Incredible stuff, really...
