Keanu Reeves is absolutely everywhere these days, dominating every single form of media, regardless of what the genre may be. In just a five year time span, we have seen him play an omnipresent ball of hay in ‘Spongebob: Sponge Out Of Water’, an aged stoner rocker in ‘Bill and Ted Face The Music’, and a rockstar terrorist in ‘Cyberpunk 2077’. Now that the ‘John Wick’ franchise has launched Keanu back into the big leagues of action flicks, a continuation of ‘The Matrix’ series was in order. What did you expect Hollywood to make something original? We expect Keanu to be the top billed cast member in the fourth film of the series which makes us wonder just how Keanu may return to the Metro World.
Compiled here is a list of every theory we could think of for how Neo will once again return as ‘The One’. You thought the war between the Metro World and Zion was over? Not until Warner Brothers stops making money from it. Without Laurence Fishbourne returning as Morpheus, Neo will have to rely on Trinity and Niobe to help him rage against the machines. We are expecting nothing short of a spectacular Jesus like resurrection for Neo to go through. Some crazy ideas include a ‘Death Of Superman’ type return where Neo goes berserk (sorry Snyder Cut fans, it’s a trope!) to a massive heist film where the new cast members like ‘How I Met Your Mother’s’ Neil Patrick Harris and ‘Hamilton’ alum Jonathon Groff will be tasked with retrieving Neo’s RSI (Residual Self Image). So plug in your head jacks and get ready for some good old theories!
