The Real Reason These Predator Movies Were Canceled

For fans of killer alien races, the Predator movies are required viewing. Beginning with 1987’s Predator, the franchise follows a series of human encounters with a race of alien trophy hunters throughout several generations. Predator isn’t quite as prolific a franchise as Alien is, although the two are forever intertwined, thanks to a couple of films and several novels and comics that explore the relationship between the two species.

Predator movies have struggled: two of the four standalone films have failed to impress critics, while neither Predator-Alien crossover has scored above a 25% on Rotten Tomatoes.
