Released in 2005, "Fantastic Four" was panned by critics, and was largely perceived by fans as missing the mark. Now, the film is missing from the Disney+ streaming platform, despite being available when the service launched in November 2019. When Disney acquired rival studio 21st Century Fox in 2019, the deal paved the way for "Fantastic Four" and the sequel, "Rise of the Silver Surfer," to appear on Disney+, and "Silver Surfer" is still available. The 2015 reboot of "Fantastic Four" is also still available on the platform, as part of what Disney calls the "Marvel Legacy Collection." So why not the original?
