Toss a coin to your favorite YouTube channel because we’re talking about the Netflix adaptation of Henry Cavill’s White Wolf. This mutant fantasy warrior uses potions, swords and supernatural abilities to fight monsters, fight humans and fight his own destiny. At least he wins two out of three of those fights. The series is adapted from the famous novels from author Andrzej Sapkowski. They rank among other classics like Game of Thrones, The Wheel of Time, The Lord of the Rings, and The Chronicles of Narnia. Before Netflix gave Man of Steel’s Superman a crack at him, CD Projekt Red adapted the stories into one of the greatest video game trilogies of all time. Both of these proved to be stiff competition for the tv show to go up against. They managed to do a pretty good job by expanding some parts of the story, changing some characters and providing plenty of steamy tub scenes for the internet to obsess over.
The show changed a great deal from both other versions of the story. The main character has different weapons, a different look and a much more brutal fighting style that could not have been adapted before. Some of these alterations were awesome additions to the story while some, like the non-linear approach, proved to be a bit confusing. Then there’s Cavill who even earned the author’s approval.
So what are the best and worst changes the Netflix series made? Let’s find out! Don’t forget to like, subscribe and share for more from ScreenRant!
