Stranger Things is a show about kids and their problems. But it also definitely rewards the adults watching, who lived through the decade in which it's set, the 1980s.

The show's creators, the Duffer Brothers, fill the series with pop-culture references from the era, many so culturally pervasive that even the kids watching have at least heard of them. But there are more subtle details, too, and plot points that only a viewer with a little more life experience would truly understand.
