Ever since Margot Robbie stole the show in Suicide Squad, making Jared Leto look like a preening try-hard, everyone has been wondering if she can hold her own when she’s, well, on her own.

And then Birds of Prey was announced and it got people pretty excited. The trailer was stylish, funny, way over the top and, best of all, set to an iconic Björk song. All the ingredients were there. But that means nothing without a good cook.
