Upcoming Video Games Reboots That Could Beat The Originals
Description
Final Fantasy VII: Remake, Resident Evil 2 and Mass Effect: Legendary Edition all changed the game by showing just how incredible a video game remake or reboot can be. Before, video game remakes were often seen as cheap ports that allowed you to buy Resident Evil 4 on every single console with just slightly better graphics. Now, we’ve seen a new world where gameplay, models, animations and even stories have been radically changed to make a new game altogether. So it should come as no surprise that a TON of popular franchises are going the same way in the future.
Most notably, the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise is getting revamped every single way Sega can possibly imagine. Not only are they following up their hit movie with a sequel that will see more Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik but they are running into the past at full sprint to remind everyone why they loved the blue blurr in the first place. Remakes and rereleases of some of Sonic’s smaller and grander hits are on the way along with a new title that will sprint into the future. Nintendo is getting in on the fun too with two of their most successful franchises. Pokemon is coming in hot with Pokemon: Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl to pave the way back to the Sinnoh region for the upcoming Pokemon Legends: Arceus. The Legend of Zelda is also celebrating its big anniversary with the surprise remake of its controversial Wii title Skyward Sword which may lead directly into the much anticipated Breath of the Wild 2.
So which of these remakes will take more of my money? Let’s find out! Don’t forget to like, subscribe and share for more from Screen Rant!
